Mrs. Susan Allen, Kindergarten teacher at Heritage Elementary, retires after 40 years in education – 25 serving Bennington Public School District. Bennington in a great school system, which is why I drove the long distance everyday. The parents are the greatest!

Family/Work History:

Taught at St. James/Seton before getting married and moving to Fremont. Then I worked at Washington Elementary in Washington Nebraska before Bennington annexed them. I also worked at the library in Fremont. My husband passed away in 2021. I graduated from UNO with a BS and a MS with concentration in Early Childhood. Kindergarten has changed so much in the last 20 years!

Kindergarten Roundup (playing the hot dog) and winning the State Championships

What's Next? 

Not sure yet, but I would like to teach in a Catholic school again.
